With all the others out there now writing on these topics, Kathleen, you can be sure that you will be the source of information for my wife and I as we proceed with our plans to make our own move overseas.
A further note of compliment: My dear, your book is wonderful. You answer our questions for the most part before we even ask them. This is a keeper!
– Bob B., United States
I wish to congratulate you for the quality of your reports. The plain, matter of fact, but essential and wise information we all need to take vital decisions, especially in these extremely difficult times.
– Peter L., United States
Kathleen, my wife and I met you in Panama City several years ago, and I was very impressed with your practical no-nonsense approach to finding a suitable place to live and retire. I followed your travels to Ireland, then on to Paris, where you reported on the difficulty of finding the right schools for your children. I am really happy to reconnect with you now through your e-letter.
– Randy R., United States
Kathleen, your information and e-mails have been invaluable to me. Thank you for all that you have encouraged and instilled in me.
– Christine H., United States
Kathleen, regarding your periodical letters, much congratulations to you for sharing those exciting reports about living overseas and protecting private wealth. I wish you much success!
– Joan C., Spain
Kathleen, we have enjoyed many years of international travel experience and a long and successful professional career and have now, for some time, been researching our international retirement options. To this end, the input from your liveandinvestoverseas.com has been extremely enlightening and stimulating.
Your issue today brought back memories of lovely days spent in Ireland. Thanks for the verbal camera that you focused on this country’s lovely Copper Coast landscape.
And thanks to you and your editorial staff for your time, enthusiasm, and informative newsletters.
– Eugene V.W., South Africa
Kathleen, I keep up with your dispatches every day. You are like the Babe Ruth of overseas living.
– Scott T., Panama
Kathleen, as a reader of Overseas Opportunity Letter and a Private Placement Funding Syndicator for over 25 years, I really have to commend you for your insight and honesty in telling like it is to your readers.
It is uplifting to read an article from a person like yourself who is delivering the truth to her readers. Keep up the good work.
– Norman S., United States
Kathleen, I just had to tell you how much I enjoy getting your e-mails about overseas living. You tell a mean story.
I just loved this one about the cable guy and the one about the taxi with the broken window. Cracked me up! It’s a very reality-based way of writing about a place that’s foreign to most of us. It helps the reader appreciate the differences between the United States and these other places, without fearing the differences.
– Bruce R., United States
Kathleen, I want to compliment you on your amazing tenacity and enthusiasm. Every day chatting with substance is a great gift to us out here who dream of someday living the dream. We live on a farm in Canada, and your letters have been such an inspiration to keep on going. You are always there on the screen presenting options for another way of life and some fun. Thank you, thank you.
– Bev N., Canada
Your article last Friday where you described life ‘living as a local’ versus living in an expat community was the best article I have read from your daily newsletters in the past six months.
You are so much better than the others out there writing on these same topics. I receive this kind of information from many other sources. None of them compare. They’re all sales letters pitching their next seminars or books or secret stock tips.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know you are on the right track. Anyone who makes the comparison between you and the other resources available will choose you.

Kathleen, my husband and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for the recent Live and Invest in Panama conference. Our minds are still reeling with all of the information presented to us. All of the presenters were very knowledgeable about their respective fields. We also enjoyed talking with other expats-in-waiting. Mike and I live in the snowy part Washington State. Last year was very snowy and cold. Needless to say, we would love to spend at least our winters in Panama instead!
After the conference we spent a little time (and by that I mean too little…only another six days) visiting areas around Panama City and El Valle. Although our Spanish is at best rudimentary, we were able to talk with people. We ate wonderful food, saw some incredible sights, and were able to appreciate a bit of this wonderful country.
Thanks again for all of your hard work in putting together the conference. For anyone considering a move to Panama, the conference should be on their must-do list.
– Diane D., United States
Kathleen, I’m sure it will take you a few days to recover from the intense effort that you and your wonderful staff put into the conference. From my perspective, it was an excellent production. Thank you. I expect to be back in Panama in September to submit for the pensioner visa. I’ll start accumulating documents next week.”
– Elmore S., United States
Kathleen, I had a great time at the seminar. It was advertised—informative, insightful, and in-depth. It is certainly a must for anyone thinking of making a move to a Latin American country. You and Lief were terrific. The trip to Azuero was beautiful. Thank you again.
– Joe D., United States
Kathleen, a quick note to say thank you to you, your staff, and the professionals who participated today in your conference. It was a great day for me and I am sure for every other participant, as well. I am so happy to have taken the decision to join the group, as I am learning a lot about investments, offshore banking, living in foreign countries, and much more. Congratulations for your organization.
– Serge B., Spain
Kathleen, I wish to congratulate you for the quality of the reports I have received up to now–the plain, matter-of-fact, but essential and wise information we all need to make vital decisions, especially in these extremely difficult times.
– Peter L., Italy
Informative and factual, no bunk! I really appreciate that.
– Judith D., United States
Kathleen, the honesty and realism of your information shines through. I am looking forward to continuing reading your offerings for a long time.
– Carol C., United States
Just great. Very welcoming and supplied answers to all questions very well. I’ll see you again soon.”
– Charles M., United States
Kathleen, thank you for all your hard work. You have made a lot of people dream and a lot of dreams come true. I enjoy all the e-mails from all your staff living all over the world. I am always telling people about you and how you started your publications years ago. In fact, I just today told my banker about how honest and smart you are, letting us know where to go. Wish I had listened to you more years ago…
– Marlene M., Alaska
I particularly appreciated your information today about the joys (?) of international rental property. What I admire is your honest, tell-it-like-it-is approach. A lot of people have been hurt by nothing but glowing reports about offshore living from various sources. Your honest, direct approach is a real service.
– Arlean K., United States
The level of experience, knowledge, and competence is top-shelf. Primarily, I appreciated the sincere and honest approach of the organizers and all the presenters, as well as the obvious desire to give participants complete, accurate, timely, and appropriate information and to answer questions thoroughly.
